News: Injuries reported after hit-and-run on Harvard Ave E in Portage Bay

SEATTLE, WA — At least one person was hurt Monday afternoon due to a hit-and-run collision in Seattle’s Portage Bay neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident was reported at the intersection of Harvard Avenue East and East Roanoke Street, near the State Route 520 and Interstate 5 ramps. Officers with the SPD’s East Precinct were called to the scene at around 2:33 p.m.

While the circumstances remain unclear, dispatchers described the event as a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) in which at least one involved party fled the scene before authorities arrived.

Injuries were reported, but as of this writing, the department has not confirmed the number of people hurt or indicated the extent of injuries sustained.

A description of the hit-and-run vehicle and/or suspect has not been released at this time.
