News: Impairment suspected in Yelm head-on crash that sent 2 to hospital 

YELM, WA – Washington State Patrol suspects impairment was to blame in a head-on crash that sent two people to the hospital on Sunday.

WSP told Kiro7 that the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Mudrun Road Southeast. Troopers said a 50-year-old male driver had crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and crashed head-on into another vehicle.

The two people inside the struck vehicle were left with unspecified injuries and taken to St. Peter’s Hospital for treatment.

First responders did not specify the physical conditions of the hospitalized individuals.

WSP has not confirmed any citations or arrests at this time.
