TACOMA, WA – Impairment was suspected in a rollover crash that sent one person to a hospital Thursday, MyNorthWest reports.
The driver, who allegedly had drugs or alcohol in their system, crashed their car on I-5 South near Bay Street. The impact of the collision was strong, which led the car to overturn and left its passenger with serious injuries.
EMS crews were dispatched to the scene and transported the passenger to a hospital. The passenger is listed in stable condition, according to Washington State Patrol.
Troopers have arrested the driver.
