KING COUNTY, WA — King County officials are searching for a hit-and-run suspect after a pedestrian crash Saturday, September 2, in Burien that claimed the life of a 77-year-old woman, reports FOX 13 Seattle.
According to B-Town Blog, the fatal incident occurred near Ambaum Boulevard South and South 174th Street, in the city’s south side. Burien Police and King County Fire District #2 crews were dispatched to the scene at about 2:00 p.m.
While the events leading up to the event remain unclear, authorities said the female pedestrian was struck by 2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe which should have sustained damage to its right-passenger side headlight, hood, and fog light in the crash.
On September 13, 2023, shortly after releasing a surveillance image of the actual striking vehicle, the King County Sheriff’s Office announced that the vehicle had been located, though the driver remains at large.
Anyone who may have information on the suspect is urged to call 911 or contact investigators at the non-emergency line, (206) 296-3311. Tips can also be submitted anonymously at P3Tips.com, or via the P3 Tips app.
