News: Hit-and-run collision forces vehicle to strike power pole

RENTON, WA – The Renton Police Department is investigating a hit and run collision that forced the victim vehicle to crash off the roadway and strike a power pole on Friday night.

The department’s official Twitter page stated the accident occurred at the intersection of Union Avenue Northeast and Northeast 12th Street at 7:35 p.m.

Just fyi, we are also investigating a hit & run accident that happened at 7:35 pm at Union Ave NE/NE 12th st. which caused victim vehicle to crash into power pole. Rds blocked at Union Ave NE from NE 11th St to 12th St. No injuries/PSE on scene & road should be open shortly/sh pic.twitter.com/4l6k2t4EQJ

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Authorities shut down Union Ave NE between NE 12th St and NE 11th St, though the roadway was expected to be reopened soon after.
