SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA – Snohomish County first responders were dispatched to the scene of a collision involving a school bus in the Chain Lake area on Wednesday, HeraldNet reports.
The incident unfolded after 8:40 a.m. when a van was reversing out of a driveway and crashed into an oncoming school bus on the 18000 block of 103rd Street Southeast.
The bus and van’s trailer hitch were left with minor damage, while no one, including the 28 students on board the school bus, was injured.
On a similar note, another crash involving a school bus also happened this week in Snohomish County. The crash occurred on Tuesday on the northbound Interstate 5 near Marysville. In this instance, a car driver stopped in an HOV lane and was then rear-ended by a school bus.
The car driver and the school bus driver were sent to a hospital. There, the car driver died, while the school bus operator was treated for unspecified injuries.
The decedent was identified as a 29-year-old man and the surviving driver as a 59-year-old woman, both of whom are Everett residents.
