KING COUNTY, WA — At least one person died Sunday afternoon after a collision on West Valley Highway North near west Auburn, according to Puget Sound Fire.
The fatal accident was reported in the 18100 block of the highway. Puget Sound Fire crew members were called to the scene shortly before 2:29 p.m.
Officials have not shared additional information on the involved parties, but a photo taken at the scene shows a box truck upright at an angle against the left-side guardrail.
A section of the highway was blocked in both directions during the emergency response. Motorists were urged to avoid the scene and find alternate routes.

At this time, Puget Sound Fire has not confirmed the number of fatalities or reported any other injuries.
