News: Fatal head-on crash on US 101 in Sequim under investigation

SEQUIM, WA – A fatal head-on crash on US Highway 101 in Sequim on Saturday evening is under investigation by Washington State Patrol, reports KOMO News.

According to officials, troopers responded to the scene around 2:25 p.m. Saturday. The fatal head-on collision occurred after one vehicle crossed the centerline of the roadway and struck an oncoming car on US 101 west of the Happy Valley Road intersection.

Two motorists in one of the vehicles involved were pronounced dead at the scene. Two motorists in the other vehicle were injured and transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital. At this time, no updates on their condition have been provided.

US 101 near Happy Valley Road was temporarily closed until around 8:39 p.m. Saturday while troopers investigated the scene.
