FIFE, WA — Downed power lines caused State Route 99 near Fife to close down Thursday afternoon, according to KOMO News.
The Washington State Patrol said the a fallen tree severed the power lines, not a collision.
SR 99 at Porter Way was fully blocked as troopers and crews with Tacoma’s Washington State Department of Transportation worked to clear the energized lines dragged down by the tree.
The road has since been opened again.
