SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A vehicle accident Wednesday morning partially blocked an Interstate 5 exit ramp, creating delays in east Lynnwood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The wreck occurred on the offramp from I-5 southbound to State Route 524, or 196th Street Southwest. It was first reported by WSDOT at around 8:40 a.m.
Authorities have not revealed the cause of the crash or the number of vehicles involved, but the right lane of the ramp was closed, causing a traffic stall.
Footage captured at the site shows multiple emergency vehicles responding to the event. Motorists were urged to reduce speed and expect delays in the area.
By 9:24 a.m., more than 40 minutes after the initial report, crews had cleared the scene and the entire ramp was reported reopened to traffic.
