News: Emergency crews respond to crash on I-5 SB in Mountlake Terrace

KING COUNTY, WA — Two southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in south Mountlake Terrace were closed late Wednesday morning following a collision, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The accident happened on the southbound side of I-5, just north of 220th Street Southwest. It was first reported by WSDOT at 10:20 a.m.

While no information regarding the circumstances of the crash have been shared, the two left southbound lanes were blocked as a result.

Footage taken at the scene shows multiple emergency vehicles responding to what appears to be a two-vehicle wreck. Motorists were warned of delays impacting the area.

Shortly before 11:00 a.m., the scene had been cleared and all lanes were reopened to traffic.

Authorities have not confirmed any injuries at this time.
