News: Elderly pedestrian hit, seriously hurt by vehicle in NE Bellevue crosswalk

KING COUNTY, WA — An elderly man was hospitalized Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle while crossing an intersection in northeast Bellevue, according to KIRO 7 News.

Authorities said the incident occurred at the corner of 156th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 20th Street at around 1:30 p.m.

An early investigation shows the victim was in a marked crosswalk at the time he was hit.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with an investigation. Responding officers did not suspect impairment factored into the crash.

No further details have been released on the victim’s condition or any pending charges.
