News: Early-morning crash blocks HOV lane on I-5 near Michigan St.

SEATTLE, WA – An early-morning crash shut down the HOV lane along I-5 early Friday morning.

According to a tweet by the Washington State Department of Transportation, the accident took place shortly before 7 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate near the exit to Michigan Street.

On I-5 northbound just south of Michigan St there is a collision blocking the HOV lane.

The cause of the collision is not mentioned in the report. However, the HOV lane was blocked for about 10 minutes while first responders worked to clear the scene.

No injuries have been reported as a direct result of the crash.
