PIERCE COUNTY, WA — A driver suspected of impairment was arrested Wednesday morning following a crash on State Route 512 in Puyallup, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The wreck took place on the eastbound lanes of SR-512, east of South Meridian and just north of MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital. By 10:16 a.m., WSP troopers and crews with the Washington State Department of Transportation had already arrived on the scene.
Trooper John Dattilo said one car collided with a cable barrier, leaving the left eastbound lane blocked.
While no serious injuries were reported, the driver was taken into custody for an investigation into DUI.
No other vehicles appear to have been impacted.

Motorists were told to expect delays in the area as WSDOT crews work to clear cables from the highway.
