News: Driver of stolen car dies following crash on SE Black Nugget Rd in Issaquah

ISSAQUAH, WA – According to KOMO, the driver of a stolen vehicle died on Wednesday from injuries she sustained after she collided with another car on SE Black Nugget Rd on Monday.

Officers found Jillian Lewis, 36, asleep behind the wheel of a stolen car in a parking lot on SE Black Nugget Rd sometime Monday afternoon. Lewis was passed out, and there was drug paraphernalia visible inside the vehicle.

Officers woke Lewis, and she put the car in gear before slamming into their police cruiser and fleeing the parking lot.

Lewis crashed into another vehicle as she was exiting the parking lot.

Officers performed life-saving measures on Lewis. Rescue crews transported her to an area hospital, where she died on Wednesday.

It is unclear if anyone in the vehicle Lewis struck was hurt in the collision.
