SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A man died in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon that also seriously injured a motorcyclist on Interstate 5 in north Everett, according to KOMO News.
The incident occurred in the southbound lanes of I-5 near 12th Street Northeast shortly before 4:00 p.m.
A Chevy Malibu was speeding southbound on I-5 when it struck the rear of a motorcycle, ejecting the rider from the bike. The Malibu then ran off the west side of the roadway while rolling and hitting two other vehicles before coming to a stop on the embankment where the causing driver was ejected.

The driver of the Malibu, a 56-year-old man, died at the scene.
The motorcyclist, a 64-year-old man, was transported to a hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
No other injuries were reported in the accident. The other two vehicles involved received minor damages and were able to be driven from the scene.
