KING COUNTY, WA — A 45-year-old Kent woman died Saturday morning after a two-vehicle wreck on a State Route 167 entrance ramp near Auburn, according to Auburn Reporter.
The fatal accident occurred on the ramp connecting the westbound lanes of SR-18 to southbound SR-167.
Officials with the Washington State Patrol said the woman was driving with two passengers westbound on SR-18 when she lost control of her vehicle while merging onto SR-167. The car rotated and became perpendicular to traffic before its driver’s side was hit by another vehicle in lane 2. The first car came to a stop in the center two lanes while the second came to a rest in the left lane.
The Kent woman died on the scene as a result of her injuries, confirmed the WSP. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
Her passengers, a 19-year-old and a juvenile, suffered undisclosed injuries and were taken to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center.
The driver and passenger of the second vehicle, who were both wearing seat belts, were not reported hurt.
At this time, no further details have been provided.
