News: Driver in serious condition, passengers injured after vehicle crashes into apartment complex in Kent

KENT, WA. – A driver was hospitalized in serious condition and multiple passengers were injured after the vehicle they were riding in crashed into an apartment complex in Kent.

According to KIRO 7 News, the crash occurred at the Madison on the River apartment complex on South 259th Street at around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. Eyewitnesses say the driver veered off the road and struck the building. First responders extricated the driver from the vehicle and transported him to Harborview Medical Center where he remains in intensive care. The other passengers included several minors, who also suffered injuries in the crash. No further details on the number of passengers or the severity of their injuries have been released at this time.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the apartments, but four of the units have been declared uninhabitable while authorities conduct a thorough structural evaluation.
