News: Driver hospitalized after car slams into tree in Highland Park

SEATTLE, WA — A man was injured Thursday evening after crashing his car into a tree in west Seattle’s Highland Park neighborhood, according to West Seattle Blog.

Seattle Fire crews responded to the scene in the 7700 block of 11th Avenue Southwest shortly after 5:14 p.m.

Firefighters had to perform a rescue extrication for two occupants trapped inside their vehicle after it collided head-on into a tree.

Authorities said the male driver was transported via private ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

His sole passenger declined medical treatment.

No further updates have been shared on a possible cause of the accident.
