CHEWELAH, WA – According to KIRO 7, a man died in a fatal single-vehicle collision near Chewelah Monday evening.
A 41-year-old man was driving north on US 395 near Kramer Road when he struck a moose.
First responders transported the driver and his passenger, Amanda Nack, 37, to an area hospital, where the driver died.
Officials have not released the driver’s name.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating the deadly collision.
