News: Driver fatally collides with pole on WA 531 in Snohomish County

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA – A driver died after they collided with a pole near WA 531 and 11th Ave NE on Sunday, according to KIRO 7.

The driver was heading west in the eastbound lanes of WA 531 when they left the roadway and slammed into a power pole around 12:50 a.m. The car then caught fire.

First responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Officials have not released the victim’s name.

The Washington State Police are investigating the incident. They are looking into whether impairment was a factor in the crash.
