SEATTLE, WA – A driver struck and killed a female pedestrian on E Marginal Way S near S Orcas St on Saturday, according to KIRO 7.
A person driving a sedan north on E Marginal Way S hit the victim around 5 a.m. The victim was walking in traffic outside a marked crosswalk.
First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officials have not released her name or age.
Following the collision, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the wreck.
The Renton Police Department’s Traffic Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.
