LYNWOOD, WA – A driver struck and killed a motorcyclist on southbound Interstate 405 near Alderwood Mall Parkway Friday night, according to FOX 13.
A 21-year-old man was driving a Ford pickup truck when he merged into the second lane of Interstate 405 and collided with the rear of a motorcycle operated by Tyler Conaway.
Both vehicles came to rest on the shoulder of the interstate. The truck driver contacted 911.
First responders pronounced Conaway dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.
The truck driver and his two passengers were not hurt in the collision.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the wreck.
