News: Driver fatally collides with fire truck near Bitter Lake

SEATTLE, WA – A driver died following a collision with a fire truck at Aurora Avenue and North 128th Street on Saturday morning, according to FOX 13. 

The driver of a Chevrolet Malibu was heading south on Aurora Avenue when they struck the fire truck as it was making a right turn onto Aurora Avenue around 5 a.m. 

First responders pronounced the Malibu driver dead at the scene. Nobody on the fire truck was hurt. 

Following the collision, crews shut down the area to process the scene. The roads were reopened around noon. 

Officials have not released the victim’s name.
