News: Driver dies after rollover wreck on 152nd St E in South Hill

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — A 30-year-old man was killed Saturday evening in a single-vehicle rollover collision in South Hill, reports KIRO 7 News.

Deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene in the 9200 block of 152nd Street East shortly after 6:54 p.m.A preliminary investigation indicates the victim was traveling at a high rate of speed when the vehicle veered off the road and struck a boulder. The impact of the crash caused the pickup to flip multiple times before coming to rest on its passenger side.

Authorities arrived to find the pickup blocking the middle of the roadway.

The driver and sole occupant of the pickup was pronounced deceased at the scene.
