News: Driver dies after crashing into semi-truck on I-90 near George

GRANT COUNTY, WA — A 57-year-old Bellevue man died Monday evening after a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 near George, according to iFiberOne.

Washington State Patrol said the man was driving a 2013 Dodge Ram pickup truck westbound on I-90 when he approached a flat-bed semi-truck that had slowed down because of another crash ahead. The man rear-ended the truck, and both vehicles came to a stop in the left traffic lane.

The driver of the pickup truck died from his injuries at the scene, confirmed WSP.

Two male occupants in the semi-truck aged 38 and 52 were not reported injured.

No further information has been released, but an investigation by WSP remains in progress.
