News: Driver critically injured in crash with train near Kent Station

KING COUNTY, WA — One person suffered life-threatening injuries late Sunday afternoon when their vehicle collided with a train in downtown Kent, reports KOMO News.

The incident took place on the tracks at Kent Station, located at 301 Railroad Avenue North. Crews with Puget Sound Fire responded to the scene shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Officials did not say what circumstances led up to the crash, but the driver of the impacted vehicle was rushed to an area hospital with critical injuries.

No other information has been made available at this time, but an investigation was in progress.
