KING COUNTY, WA — A woman was hospitalized with critical injuries late Thursday morning after her car overturned in a crash on Interstate 405 in Kirkland, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The single-vehicle accident happened on the southbound lanes north of Exit 18 to Northeast 85th Street, in the city’s Highlands area. It was first reported by Trooper Rick Johnson at 11:05 a.m.
While the circumstances of the crash remain unclear, a photo shared by the trooper shows a vehicle at rest near a group of trees beyond the right shoulder.
Officials said the female driver was rushed to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

No other vehicles appear to have been involved, and no other injuries have been reported.
The right two lanes of southbound I-405 were blocked during the emergency response, posing major delays for motorists.
