News: Driver crashes into Bellevue mall during medical event

BELLEVUE, WA – Bellevue police say a driver suffered from a medical event and crashed their vehicle into Factoria Mall on Wednesday, reports KOMO News.

According to authorities, the driver suffered the medical event around 10:30 on Wednesday and subsequently drove through the front doors at the main entrance of Factoria Mall, eventually coming to a stop 20 yards inside the mall near the Panera Bread.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. At this time, no further updates on their condition have been provided.

Following the accident, the mall’s alarm system went off and everyone inside evacuated. No other injuries were reported.
