TACOMA, WA – A driver fatally collided with a semi-truck on Interstate 5 northbound near Bridgeport Way Southeast Tuesday afternoon, according to Trooper John Dattilo.

Witnesses saw the driver of a pickup truck lose control of the vehicle and stray in front of the semi truck.
The pickup truck driver died in the crash. First responders transported the pickup truck’s passenger to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating the incident.
