News: Driver cited in connection with big rig collision in DuPont

DUPONT, WA – A driver was cited for second-degree negligent driving in connection with a big rig collision that happened on Interstate 5 along Steilacoom-DuPont Road on Wednesday. 

The driver was traveling on the northbound lanes of the interstate when they crashed into several concrete barriers, causing diesel fuel to spill from their truck, according to Fox13Seattle.

The driver was injured, but their physical condition has not been made readily available.

Officials blocked the area for several hours before reopening all lanes.
