News: Driver booked into custody after two-vehicle collision near DuPont 

NEAR DUPONT, WA – Washington State Patrol booked a driver into custody for vehicular assault following a two-vehicle collision on Sunday. 

Trooper Kameron Watts first reported the crash at 4 a.m., saying it happened near milepost 116. The force of the collision led one person to sustain serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Northbound I-5 near Milepost 116 the two right lanes are blocked. Troopers are investigating a two-vehicle collision, the victim sustained serious but non life threatening injuries. The causing driver is in custody for Vehicular Assault.

Officials blocked the area for several hours and reopened all lanes after 8:30 a.m. 

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
