SEATTLE, WA — One person was taken into custody late Wednesday morning after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 5 in Seattle’s University District, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The collision occurred on the northbound side of I-5, near Exit 170 to Northeast Ravenna Boulevard. It was first tweeted by Trooper Rick Johnson at 11:23 a.m.
Very few details have been released, but officials said one of the involved drivers attempted to flee the scene on foot. Shortly after, they were apprehended by officers in the area.
No information regarding potential injuries has been made available at this time.

Authorities had the two right northbound lanes closed for nearly 20 minutes, but by 11:42 p.m., only the far right lane was reported blocked as tow crews responded to the area.
