News: Cyclist hospitalized after hit-and-run on Center St in Tacoma

TACOMA, WA — A man was seriously hurt late Saturday when he was struck by a car while riding a bicycle in Tacoma, according to FOX 13 Seattle.

The incident occurred on Center Street, between South Wilkeson Street and South Pine Street, in an area under State Route 16. It was first reported by the Tacoma Police Department 11:56 p.m.

Officials did not provide any information regarding the circumstances of the event, but the driver fled the scene without stopping.

First responders rushed the cyclist to a local hospital with serious injuries.

All lanes at the intersection was blocked off during the response and initial investigation.
