News: Crews respond to rollover crash on I-5 SB offramp in Georgetown

SEATTLE, WA — A rollover collision late Tuesday morning blocked an Interstate 5 exit ramp in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The accident happened on the Exit 161 ramp from I-5 southbound to South Albro Place. It was first reported by WSDOT shortly before 11:15 a.m.

While the cause of the wreck remains undisclosed, at least one vehicle overturned, prompting an emergency response that shut down the offramp.

Footage captured at the scene shows at least one ambulance and a fire engine in the immediate area.

By 12:08 p.m., nearly an hour later, crews had cleared the scene from the roadway and the ramp was reopened to traffic.
