News: Crews respond to collision on California Ave SW in West Seattle

WEST SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle accident was reported Thursday morning in West Seattle’s North Admiral neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The collision occurred at the corner of California Avenue Southwest and Southwest Hinds Street, near Swedish Physicians Children’s Clinic. It was first reported by SDOT at 10:21 a.m.

Officials did not specify the circumstances of the wreck, but all southbound lanes of California Avenue Southwest were blocked in the immediate aftermath. Motorists were asked to seek alternate routes.

A photo taken at the scene shows at least one fire engine responding, but no injuries have been confirmed as of this writing.

By 10:44 a.m., crews had removed all the involved vehicles from the roadway and all travel lanes were reopened to the public.
