News: Crews respond to accident on I-5 NB near Seattle’s Eastlake area

SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle accident Monday morning blocked a left lane on Interstate 5 near Seattle’s Eastlake neighborhood, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.

The collision occurred on the northbound lanes approaching State Route 520 and was first reported by WSDOT at 10:50 a.m.

It was not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved or what led up to the crash, but shortly after 11:00 a.m., emergency crews had responded to the scene.

By 11:49 a.m., nearly an hour after the crash, the scene had been cleared from the roadway with all lanes reopened to traffic.

As of this writing, authorities have not released details on the parties involved or any possible injuries.
