KING COUNTY, WA — A series of crashes and other weather-related incidents Friday morning closed part of eastbound State Route 18 in southeast Issaquah, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accidents impacted the eastbound highway at Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast at milepost 20. WSDOT first reported about a disabled vehicle involved in the crashes at 9:40 a.m.
It was unclear what caused the wrecks or whether they were all related, but multiple crashes, spinouts, and a jackknifed semi-truck forced all eastbound lanes of SR-18 to close in the area.
Motorists were advised to avoid the scene and find alternate routes, as an extended closure was anticipated.
