News: Crash shuts down two lanes on I-5 Express near Seattle’s U-District

SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle collision Tuesday morning closed two left lanes on Interstate 5 Express southbound near the University District in Seattle, according to Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

Update 6:39 AM : On I-5 southbound just south of NE 45th St there is a collision blocking the 2 left lanes.

The incident impacted the southbound lanes of I-5 Express just south of Northeast 45th Street shortly before 6:39 a.m.

A traffic video shared by WSDOT shows police responding to the crash that appears to involve two vehicles.

The two left lanes remained blocked until the scene was cleared at 7:15 a.m.
