News: Crash involving bus on SR 520 in Seattle sends 2 to hospital

SEATTLE, WA – Two people were injured due to a multi-vehicle wreck Friday evening on State Route 520 in Seattle’s Montlake area, reports King 5.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the incident unfolded on the westbound highway near Montlake Boulevard, prompting an emergency response shortly after 6:30 p.m.

An investigation remains underway, but four vehicles, including a King County Metro bus, appears to have been involved.

First responders had to extricate two patients from one or more of the involved vehicles. A 42-year-old man and an adult woman were both rushed to an area hospital in serious and stable conditions, respectively.

Seattle Fire officials said nine passengers aboard the bus were evaluated at the scene but all declined transport to the hospital.

An investigation is being conducted by the Washington State Patrol.
