News: Crash blocks US-101 SB onramp near Olympia’s South Westside

THURSTON COUNTY, WA — A vehicle accident Thursday afternoon partially closed a U.S. Highway 101 entrance ramp near the South Westside neighborhood in Olympia, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.

The collision occurred on the ramp from Black Lake Boulevard to US-101 southbound. It was first reported by WSDOT at 12:27 p.m.

It was unclear what led up to the crash, but the event blocked the ramp’s left lane.

Collision on US 101 SB at MP 365.42 near Black Lk Blvd beginning at 10:24 am on Jan. 20, 2022 until further notice. The left lane of the ramp from Black Lk Blvd is blocked.

By 12:50 p.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway with all lanes reopened to traffic.

As of this writing, authorities have not disclosed further details on the parties involved.
