News: Crash blocks two lanes on I-405 near Midlakes in Bellevue

KING COUNTY, WA — A vehicle collision Friday morning closed two right lanes on Interstate 405 near the Midlakes area in Bellevue, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.

The accident took place on the northbound lanes of I-405 approaching Northeast 8th Street, between Exits 13 and 14. It was first reported by WSDOT at 7:50 a.m.

Traffic footage captured at the scene suggest two vehicles, a red car and a black sedan, were involved in the crash. The red car appears to have sustained significant damage to its front-left side.

Shortly after 8:00 a.m., Washington State Patrol and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) arrived on scene, and the crash was reported to have been cleared to the left hand shoulder.

No further updates have been shared on the circumstances behind the crash.
