News: Collision involving Tacoma police vehicle on Pacific Ave. injures 1

TACOMA, WA – One person was sent to the hospital following a collision involving a Tacoma police officer on Pacific Avenue on Friday evening, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.

According to Tacoma Police spokesperson Wendy Haddow, the officer was responding to a robbery call with lights and siren activated when his patrol vehicle was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of South 60th Street.

The driver of the westbound car sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.

The intersection was reopened just after 7 p.m.
