News: Collision closes two lanes on Howell St in downtown Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — Authorities were called to a crash late Monday morning in downtown Seattle’s Cascade neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The accident occurred on the northeast lanes of Howell Street at Minor Avenue. It was first reported by SDOT at 10:53 a.m.

Officials have not disclosed the cause of the wreck, but a photo captured at the scene indicates at least two vehicles were involved. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was hurt.

Two right northeast lanes on Howell Street were blocked in the immediate aftermath. Motorists were asked to use extra caution as they approach the area.

By 11:43 a.m. about 50 minutes after the initial report, the scene was announced cleared and all lanes were reopened.
