News: Collision blocks two lanes near West Seattle intersection

SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle accident was reported Monday afternoon near the Gateway neighborhood in west Seattle, according to West Seattle Blog.

The crash happened at the intersection of Southwest Morgan Street and 35th Avenue Southwest shortly before 4:12 p.m.

Few details have been reported, but police responded to the scene where two lanes were closed to traffic.

Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) crews were en route to help clear debris from the wreck.

By 4:35 p.m., the scene had cleared from the roadway, though a heavy traffic backup remained in the area due to a defective light signal at the nearby Delridge Way Southwest and Southwest Spokane Street intersection.
