BENTON CO., WA – A three-year-old child was hospitalized after a single-vehicle rollover collision on SR-22 near the town of Prosser early Tuesday morning. State troopers believe the driver may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash.
KOMO News reports that the Washington State Patrol received reports of a collision about three miles west of Prosser at 2:30 a.m. yesterday. They believe the 21-year-old woman at the wheel lost control of the vehicle, causing it to swerve, overturn, and eventually land on nearby railroad tracks.
The woman and a three-year-old passenger were taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. She is under investigation for DUI and reckless endangerment. Her relationship with the child has not been established at this time.
