News: Authorities called to collision on Rainier Ave S in Mt Baker

SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle crash Tuesday evening blocked a right lane on Rainier Avenue South in Seattle’s Mount Baker neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

The accident occurred on the southbound side of the road at South Adams Street. It was first reported by SDOT shortly after 6:30 p.m.

Little information has been released, but the right southbound lane was closed for nearly 45 minutes following the initial SDOT report.

It was unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt, but a photo captured at the scene shows at least one police cruiser and one other emergency vehicle responding.

By 7:14 p.m., crews had cleared out of the roadway and all lanes were restored to the public.
