News: At least 1 left injured after hit-and-run near King County International Airport

SEATTLE, WA — Injuries were reported Friday afternoon following a hit-and-run crash near King County International Airport in south Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident was reported in the 7400 block of East Marginal Way South, just west of the airport, in the city’s Georgetown neighborhood. Officers with the SPD’s South Precinct were dispatched to the scene at about 2:31 p.m.

While details remain limited, police dispatchers listed the event as a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) with injuries. At least one of the involved parties fled the scene before authorities arrived, qualifying the crash as a hit-and-run.

At this time, the department has not confirmed the number of people hurt or indicated the severity of the injuries.

No description of a suspect and/or fleeing vehicle has been released.
