News: At least 1 left hurt after hit-and-run on NW Market St in north Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to an injury crash Thursday morning involving a hit-and-run driver in north Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident was reported at the intersection of Northwest Market Street and 14th Avenue Northwest, in the city’s West Woodland and Ballard areas. Officers with the SPD’s North Precinct were called to the scene at about 9:37 a.m.

Few details have been made available at this time, but emergency dispatchers listed the event as a motor vehicle crash with injuries. At least one involved party fled the scene before authorities arrived.

As of this writing, the department has not released a description of the fleeing suspect and/or vehicle. The circumstances of the incident and the number of people injured remain unclear.
