News: At least 1 left hurt after hit-and-run on E Thomas St in Capitol Hill area

SEATTLE, WA — Injuries were reported after a hit-and-run collision Tuesday evening in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident took place at the intersection of East Thomas Street and 10th Avenue East, about a block west of Thomas Street Gardens. Officers with the department’s East Precinct were called to the area at around 6:41 p.m.

While the circumstances of the event have not been disclosed, police dispatchers indicated a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) that resulted in unspecified injuries to at least one person. At least one of the involved parties also fled the scene before authorities arrived.

As of this writing, the SPD has not released a description of the fleeing vehicle.
